Why Should You Vote No to Lisbon Treaty

The recent polls suggest a narrowing of the Yes campaign's lead in the Lisbon referendum and this of course has sparked the usual panic from the Yea sayers. Disastrous says Bertie, if we vote No. Dick Roche as usual, running around like a headless chicken, imploring us to be good Europeans and vote Yes. The traiterous Greens, sold their soul (those in the government anyway) to the Yes side also imploring us to vote Yes.

But who amongst us actually knows what we're signing up to? The Lisbon Treaty is so full of bureaucratic mumbo jumbo, you can make anything of it you like. When you sign a contract for a job, do you sign without understanding what exactly is written down? No, I didn't think so. The Lisbon treaty is basically open to any interpretation you like, and at the end of the day, if you are unsure, you should vote No. I do firmly believe that it is another big big step towards eroding our national sovereignty, no question. The corporation tax issue discussions have been shelved in Brussels until we have voted, as the French presidency wants to pursue a one tax for all, but that would not be seen as a positive thing for us, and hence the Eurocrats are running scare of it.

I also believe that should we vote No, we will be absolutley no worse off then we are now, just like the French and Dutch who voted No last time. Did the Apocalypse happen? No, of course not. They'll go away and think up ways to amend things and come back with another treaty along the line. This Lisbon Treaty is just the EU constitution re packaged, and thats not a good thing believe me.

Voting No will show just what good Europeans we are and should be.

If you vote No, the erosion of th EU will continue, China, Russia or US will enslave us, we won't be strong enough to rival them.

Of course, all of us must make sacrifice... but there is no other way.

Bonjour de France !
I voted NO in 2005 after many readings of the treaty and I really not regret this decision. The Lisbonn-treaty has no big difference with the former text and has to be rejected ! I hope irish people are going to follow the french and dutch example... Cross the fingers :-)

One thing this E.U.Constitution called the Lisbon Treaty does is copperfasten the December 2007 Laval/Vaxholm judgement of the E.U. Court of Justice, which makes it illegal for Governments or Trade Unions to enforce pay standards higher than the minimum wage for migrant workers. At the same time Lisbon would give the EU full control of immigration policy {Art.79 TFEU].

This combination threatens the pay and working conditions of large nimbers of Irish People. A new Treaty Protocol is neede to set the Laval judgement aside.

It will give the EU power to impose its taxes directly on us.

Besides the above, this Treaty which is the EU Constitution dressed up will overule the Irish Constitution ,period.

After 800 Years of brutality from our English neighbours we suceeded to obtain a draft called Bunreacht, by the People, for the People.

If 'the People' are hoodwinked into into handing over the ' hard fought for freedom' by voting for this Tyrannical
Fascist new world order plan for GLOBAL UNION through the ratification of this EU , it will perhaps take another 800 years or so to have any form of freedom.

This Treaty walks us and 500million other People , (who do not have the privilage of a Referendum like us) into a minefield.

They even have a Death Penalty for People who may be regarded a rioters on the Streets.

This Treaty dressed up EU Constitution is refered to as 'the no turnig back Treaty' in inner circles.

Too many People see Economic growth as the be all and end all of life.
With threats of downturn,Food shortages and Water rationing being mentioned to beat us all into submission and obedience to the Global Masters, it is handy to remember that we can't
eat Money - Notes-
worthless pieces of Paper.
not only that but we will louse more of our culture as if we need that.............and the people over the treaty will not listen to us the will not see us and the most of all will not speak for us.

Hello proud people of Ireland,
As I remember in 2005 everybody in France where suggesting us we have to vote YES, main stream medias where culpabilizing us don't vote NO :!!!!
So they can tell you many fairy tale stories but the treaty is the same repackaged constitution. EU is for the big companies and the lobbies not for the citizens, the Comission is more and more a kind of suprem soviet, deciding everything in our lifes, and nobody elected those guys. Democraty ? We have voted NO in 2005 and they serve us the same treaty and this time with no referendum.
Remember Ireland history is a long fight for independance dont waste it now.... Don't be foolished by those big . I hope Ireland save us and vote NO.
Greetings from France
